If there was one night that you needed to come and support your beloved Greensborough Football Club, this is it. We desperately need your help in putting together a dedicated committee for 2020 and beyond. With fantastic on-field success, we want to ensure that our off-field successes are just as big and satisfying. To do this we need you there, supporting us, by putting your hand up to assist and coming along on this exciting journey with us!
In the last three years the club has doubled in size with the introduction of the Netball Club over the last 6 years (Fielding 3 – 4 teams in 2020) and in the more recent 2 years the introduction of the 2019 Division 3 Premiers Women’s team and with an extra Under 19’s team starting this year, there is plenty to do to keep these sides on their arenas and performing at a top level.
With this expansion of the club comes the need to have more experienced workers to ensure we continue this growth and support the teams on the field providing every opportunity for success.
In the past few years the committee has maintained its numbers and not grown at the same rate as our on-field group. Overall workload has increased with teams now playing in 2 locations on Saturdays, some games scheduled on Friday nights and games on Sunday, this is sometimes too much left to too few to cover over a weekend.
To assist you, we are now providing a set of brief job descriptions and will use these to hopefully look for expressions of interest from the “All My Life” people out there wanting to roll their sleeves up and get it done. It also allows the club to provide more details and information as to what the role consists of.
